The lower school student leaders represented the school community during the Remembrance Day service at Memorial Park on Wednesday. They interacted with local RSL members and learnt about Australian engagement in wars since the Gallipoli landing 105 years ago. They also learnt about the significance of Remembrance Day and the red poppies. The students stood silent at 11 am and joined the millions of people around the world in this act of respect for the people who sacrificed their life in war. At school, classes interrupted their work to remember the Australian soldiers and nurses that died while on duty.
