Enrichment & Engagement Initiatives

The Enrichment and Engagement Program at Margaret River SHS was created from a need identified by staff to enhance the enrichment and engagement of all students though a range of targeted on and off-site opportunities and initiatives. The importance of this perceived need can be seen in the fact that for several years now it has been one of the school’s priorities along with Student Health & Well Being and Staff Development.

These activities and experiences include those that enhance and compliment the curriculum as well as those that are unique and provided to further develop students; both as individuals and as active members of our community and society in general.

Therefore teaching and support staff, faculties and other sections of the school community are encouraged to pro-actively seek enrichment and engagement opportunities that the E&E program can support by providing full or partial funding and administrative support.

The breadth and depth of this program can be clearly seen in the examples from 2016 school year. Some are one off/on site activities involving one or two students – to others that are over a long period and involve whole year groups or even large groups across all year levels.
