The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on school students with a disability (the national data collection) is a joint initiative of all Australian governments (state and territory) and non-government education authorities. National data is collected annually to identify the number of school students with a disability and the level of reasonable educational adjustment provided for them.

Parents of students concerned need to be notified (i.e. via newsletters), however, consent is no longer required.

For those students needing an Individual Education Plan to target their educational needs, parents will be contacted over the next few weeks.
