The 2021 Certificate III of Visual Art course kicked off with the induction of the new members of the course. The Year 10 students were greeted by the VET coordinator of Margaret River SHS, Michelle Miller in the morning. They completed a myEDOnline session and learnt the skills of designing and developing a digital portfolio. This is an important first step in understanding the value and importance of engaging in their Visual Art certificate course. The students then enjoyed studio time at the MREC Art facility, exploring Notan design. They used their original designs to decorate a slab construction for their first ceramic project. The students were throughly engaged and wanted to do this type of learning day again. We cannot wait to teach these amazing students in Year 11 next year.
